HOLLOW HALLOH BEECH

Kinda strange title, but this hollow beech is located in a Silvopasture called 'Halloh' quite near to me in the Kellerwald National Park. Wood pasture, one of the oldest land-use practices in human history, is a historical European land management system in which open woodland provided shelter and forage for grazing animals. Today the partly more than 200 years old and stately hat book still impress every visitor to the protected natural forest.
