⊙ The Mercedes-Benz W180 - the 220a and 220S - was an inline 6-cylinder sedan, coupé, and convertible made from 1954 to 1959. It received the "Ponton" nickname, a reference to the unibody-type, pontoon-shaped exterior styling.
⊙ Janis never purchased a Mercedes but a used Porsche 356 Cabriolet for $3500.
